The Big Event is one big day of community service that provides the students, faculty, staff and alumni of Southeastern an opportunity to give back to the community that supports the university throughout the year.

About the event
The Big Event is one big day of community service that provides the students, faculty, staff and alumni of Southeastern an opportunity to give back to the community that supports the university throughout the year. It's also an excellent way to make connections and bond with your fellow Lions while you do something you can feel great about!
Tasks can involve anything from weeding flower beds, to sorting food donations, to washing vehicles or a variety of other jobs, and will last roughly 3 hours. Volunteers will report to campus between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM for check in, travel to their assigned job sites, and then return to campus at 12:00 PM. Everyone who participates will receive a FREE Big Event T-shirt and FREE breakfast and lunch (while supplies last).
