Empowering African-American Alumni and Students
SLU AAAC strives to create a platform for African-American alumni and students to share their stories and experiences. We host and participate in events that bring our community together, provide education and awareness on topics that matter, and promote the success of our alumni. Our chapter is dedicated to showcasing the achievements of our community and providing a space for discussion on important topics related to African-American culture and history. We believe that by amplifying the voices of our community, we can inspire and empower future generations to reach their full potential and make a positive impact on the world. In addition to our events and initiatives, we also award two scholarships every year: the Dr. LaVanner S. Brown Scholarship and the AAAC Endowed Scholarship. These scholarships help support the academic and professional endeavors of deserving students in our community.

Our mission is to empower and uplift the African-American community at SLU by providing a platform for sharing stories, promoting success, and fostering discussion on important topics. Our vision is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where all members can thrive and make a positive impact on the world.
