About the event
Kick off game day with the SLU African American Alumni Chapter at our annual Tailgate Takeover! In partnership with the Southeastern Alumni Association, this fan-favorite tradition brings alumni, students, family, and friends together for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and Lion pride before kickoff.
We'll provide the food while the Alumni Association keeps the beverages flowing, creating the perfect atmosphere to reconnect with fellow Lions, welcome new faces, and celebrate one of our favorite traditions of the football season. This year's Tailgate Takeover will take place during the Military Appreciation Game, making it an even more meaningful opportunity to honor those who have served while enjoying a day of community and school spirit.
